Double board-certified in Pain Management and Anesthesia, John is originally from South Carolina where he completed his Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed the US News and World Report #1 ranked MS in Nurse Anesthesiology training at Virginia Commonwealth University. He practiced anesthesia in the Spokane and N. Idaho area before completing a pain management fellowship at the University of South Florida. 

As an NBCRNA accredited pain fellowship graduate, he brings a thoughtful, patient-centered perspective on the latest advances in comprehensive pain management. He believes that Chronic Pain is a disease that can be successfully treated with a balanced multidisciplinary approach.
